You Can Prepare These Delicious Vegetable Dishes in Your Crockpot or Slow Cooker
Crockpots and slow cookers also are an excellent thanks to prepare vegetable dishes. Here is that the proof; Cream Cheese Creamed Corn, Scalloped Potatoes with Ham, and Adirondack Beans. If you haven't been creating veggie dishes in your cooker, you haven't been using it to its full advantage! I particularly like creating the corn on Sunday once I have already got a ham baked. once I get home the ham and also the corn are prepared. A inexperienced salad and dinner rolls are all i would like to complete up a meal.
CREAM CHEESE CREAMED CORN
three pkg (16-oz each) frozen corn
1 (8-oz) brick of cream cheese, cubed
1 (3-oz) brick of cream cheese, cubed
1/4 cup butter, cut into items
3 tbsp water
3 tbsp milk
2 tbsp sugar
6 slices yankee cheese, cut into little items
Very gently grease slow cooker or crockpot.
In a giant mixing bowl mix all the ingredients stirring to
mix well. Pour the ingredients into the cooker. Place lid on cooker and cook on
low for four hours or till heated through and cheese is melted.
SCALLOPED POTATOES WITH HAM
6 medium potatoes, sliced skinny
12-15 skinny slices cooked ham
1 onion, sliced into skinny slices
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup contemporary chopped parsley
10 button mushrooms, sliced skinny
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp
freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
dash of garlic powder,
optional
Lightly grease crockpot or slow cooker.
Alternate layers of potatoes, ham, onion, cheese, parsley, and mushrooms within the cooker.
In a little bowl mix the milk, butter, paprika, pepper, salt, and garlic powder, if using. Pour mixture evenly over the layers within the cooker. Place lid on cooker and cook on low setting for seven to nine hours or on high setting three to four hours.
Yield: vi servings
ADIRONDACK BEANS
1/2 lb ground beef
1 tsp ready mustard
1/4 lb bacon, cut into little items
1/2 lb bulk sausage
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup molasses
1 will pork & beans
1 will chili beans
1 will kidney beans, drained
In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, crumble the bottom beef and sausage in conjunction with the bacon and cook till done. take away from pan and drain, reserving a pair of tablespoons of the drippings. Saute the onion within the drippings till softened.
Combine all the ingredients along during a crockpot or slow cooker; cowl and cook on high setting for two to three hours or on low setting for five to six hours.
Note: is also baked at 350 degrees for one to one 1/2 hours during a casserole dish or bean pot. Enjoy!
